 Lori and Robert Fontana met in college when they were participating with the Catholic Campus Ministry at the Newman Center. They were married in 1978 and are the parents of six children: Steven, Clare, Mary, Kate, Andrew, and Colleen.
The Fontanas have been working in ministry, serving the Catholic community since 1981.
Lori has a B.A. in English from the University of Dallas and a Certificate in Spirituality and Theology from the Milltown Institute, Dublin, Ireland.
The Fontanas, with the help of many friends, began Catholic Life Ministries in August, 1990. Lori writes for The Troubadour and serves as its editor. She is the CLM bookkeeper, and works with Robert in developing retreat and workshop themes and also helps with presentations.
Both Robert and Lori are trained marriage educators.
Robert is the primary retreat and workshop presenter for CLM. He writes the monthly newsletter, and organizes as well as writes for The Troubadour. Robert leads the weekly Taize prayer group for high school age youth at St. Joseph Church in Yakima.
Lori has worked at St. Joseph-Marquette Catholic School as its mission integration specialist. Her job was to help the school achieve its religious mission. She is currently employed as a 5th grade teacher at Robertson elementary in Yakima.
Robert has a B.A. in Psychology from Louisiana State University; a Masters in Theological Studies from the Washington Theological Union, Silver Spring, Maryland; a Certificate in Spirituality and Theology from the Milltown Institute, Dublin, Ireland; and a Doctorate in Ministry from the Graduate Theological Foundation, South Bend, Indiana. He is certified as a Catholic chaplain with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains.

1989-1990 Director of Youth Ministry at Holy Rosary Church, Seattle, Washington
1990 Founded Catholic Life Ministries with Lori and the help of friends.
1991-2005 Director of Ministry Formation (and later) Evangelization with the Diocese of Yakima
