 Bishop Francis George and Catholic Life Ministries
Francis Cardinal George, the presiding Archbishop of Chicago, was the Bishop of the Diocese of Yakima in 1991 and hired Robert Fontana as the Diocesan Director for Ministy Formation.
As the bishop's Director of Ministry Formation, Robert was responsible for developing, directing, and implementing the Deacon Formation Program, coordinating RENEW, serving as a resource for parish pastoral councils, and working with the bishop's lay council, the Diocesan Pastoral Council (pictured below).
Bishop George recognized the very important work that Catholic Life Ministries was doing and made it clear in a letter to our sponsors that he gave his full and unwavering support to Catholic Life Ministries.
